Privacy considerations for WBTC to BTC
Where offered, Private Route is designed to reduce an obvious direct association between the sending wallet and received assets; it does not make WBTC on Linea or BTC on Tron activity anonymous or invisible. Linea exposes account history, token approvals, contract calls, logs, gas funding, amounts, and timing under its own chain identifier. Native BTC is a Bitcoin UTXO asset with confirmations and Bitcoin address rules. Tokenized or wrapped Bitcoin on a smart-contract chain follows a contract ledger instead of the native UTXO graph. Native Bitcoin uses a UTXO transaction model, so input selection, change outputs, amount reuse, and later consolidation can add association signals. What remains visible on Linea
Linea exposes account history, token approvals, contract calls, logs, gas funding, amounts, and timing under its own chain identifier. Receiving-address reuse, immediate consolidation, and later transfers can create destination-side associations.
Linea source role versus Tron destination role
A Linea source is executed on the zkEVM rollup and later proven to Ethereum; L2 inclusion and proof settlement are distinct source milestones. Those source-side events remain visible. A Tron receipt belongs to a T-address as native TRX or the quoted TRC-20 contract; later activity consumes Tron resources or TRX fees. That receipt and later destination activity remain visible.
TRC-20 transfer evidence remains public
The Tron side can expose the T-address, TRC-20 contract events, TRX resource use, amount, and timing. The other network keeps a separate receipt record; a private provider path does not erase either token-transfer history.
Wrapper activity can add another association point
Wrapped-token approvals, transfers, and later unwrap activity are public contract events. WBTC leaves through a custodial wrapper contract with token approval and source-chain gas; no native Bitcoin UTXO is spent by that transfer.
