What DAI represents
Dai (DAI) is available in network-specific native or token forms. DAI is a crypto-backed dollar-oriented stablecoin whose canonical and bridged contracts vary by network. Its peg design does not make two network representations interchangeable.
DAI issuer, contract, and stablecoin context
DAI is dollar-oriented, but its network contracts, issuer controls, transfer events, and available liquidity remain representation-specific. A shared ticker or price target is not a cross-chain receiving check.
DAI native and bridged stablecoin versions
Recorded native forms exist on Gnosis. Contract-tracked forms on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain, Linea, Scroll, Solana, Tron remain separate ledger representations.

DAI decimal formats differ
Recorded representations use 2 decimal formats. A receiving application must read the destination contract metadata instead of assuming the source precision applies.
Receiving DAI without a network mismatch
Confirm the DAI network, contract or native label, and receiving address before using a route. Do not identify DAI solely by ticker; verify the asset and network representation. Native DAI and token representations on other networks are not interchangeable.
