What ARB represents
ARB is the Arbitrum governance token; it is not the gas asset used to transact on Arbitrum. ARB is a governance token and does not pay Arbitrum transaction gas; ETH remains the gas asset. A bridged ARB contract on another network is a separate representation from the Arbitrum token.
ARB contract-token identity
ARB is a governance token and does not pay Arbitrum transaction gas; ETH remains the gas asset. A bridged ARB contract on another network is a separate representation from the Arbitrum token. Recorded contract networks include Arbitrum, Arbitrum Nova, Ethereum, BNB Chain; network gas remains a separate native balance.
ARB network-by-network inventory
Arbitrum (contract), Arbitrum Nova (contract), Ethereum (contract), BNB Chain (contract)
ARB recorded token precision
The contract representations currently share one recorded decimal format, but contract identity and network still require independent verification.
Receiving ARB without a network mismatch
On Arbitrum, ETH pays gas even when ARB is being received or sent. Do not assume ARB pays Arbitrum transaction gas. ARB can use different contracts on different networks.
Routes arriving as ARB
AVAX → ARB, BNB → ARB, BTC → ARB, DAI → ARB, DOGE → ARB, ETH → ARB, HYPE → ARB, LINK → ARB, OP → ARB, POL → ARB

ARB privacy and wallet linking
Approvals, token transfers, wallet reuse, amounts, timing, and later consolidation can remain visible. Private Route availability and identity requirements must be checked separately.
