Privacy for the Avalanche to Polygon direction
Where offered, Private Route is intended to reduce an obvious direct association between the Avalanche sending wallet and Polygon receiving wallet; it does not hide either blockchain. AVAX is the native gas asset for Avalanche. EVM 0x account address POL is the native gas asset for Polygon. EVM 0x account address Similar amounts, timing, address reuse, and later consolidation can still add association signals. Identity requirements must be checked separately.
Avalanche source-side visibility
Avalanche exposes account history, token approvals, contract calls, logs, gas funding, amounts, and timing under its own chain identifier. Its C-Chain is the EVM execution chain in the Avalanche primary network and uses Snowman consensus. C-Chain assets and addresses belong to that execution environment; X-Chain or P-Chain transfers are not substitutes for a C-Chain route. The source deposit, gas funding, asset representation, confirmations, and sending-address history remain outside any promise of invisibility.
Polygon destination-side visibility
Polygon exposes account history, token approvals, contract calls, logs, gas funding, amounts, and timing under its own chain identifier. Polygon PoS uses an EVM sidechain architecture with its own validator checkpoints and gas balance. Its token representations and bridge behavior are separate from Ethereum L1 even when wallets use the same 0x account. The destination delivery and later activity can remain observable even when the provider path reduces a direct association.
Avalanche deposit role versus Polygon receipt role
An Avalanche source route uses C-Chain Snowman execution and AVAX gas; X-Chain or P-Chain balances are not valid C-Chain deposits. Those deposit-side events remain public. A Polygon PoS receipt follows Polygon token contracts and checkpointed execution; later movement uses POL gas rather than Ethereum L1 gas. The receipt and later activity remain public.
Two EVM histories can still be compared
Avalanche and Polygon use separate chain identifiers, balances, contracts, transaction hashes, and gas records even when address syntax matches.
WBTC custody-wrapper evidence; WBTC custody-wrapper evidence
WBTC approvals, wrapper-contract transfers, custodian-linked mint or burn context, and later unwrap activity remain public. No native Bitcoin UTXO is hidden by a WBTC token transfer. WBTC leaves through a custodial wrapper contract with token approval and source-chain gas; no native Bitcoin UTXO is spent by that transfer. The source transfer remains public. WBTC approvals, wrapper-contract transfers, custodian-linked mint or burn context, and later unwrap activity remain public. No native Bitcoin UTXO is hidden by a WBTC token transfer. WBTC arrives as a wrapper-contract token and must not be sent onward to a native Bitcoin address without an explicit unwrap or bridge path. The destination receipt and later use remain public even when direct wallet association is reduced.
Cross-chain linkability limits
Private routing can reduce an obvious link between two EVM accounts, but source approvals, gas, logs, destination contract or native receipt, and later activity remain on separate chain histories. An Avalanche source route uses C-Chain Snowman execution and AVAX gas; X-Chain or P-Chain balances are not valid C-Chain deposits. WBTC leaves through a custodial wrapper contract with token approval and source-chain gas; no native Bitcoin UTXO is spent by that transfer. A Polygon PoS receipt follows Polygon token contracts and checkpointed execution; later movement uses POL gas rather than Ethereum L1 gas. WBTC arrives as a wrapper-contract token and must not be sent onward to a native Bitcoin address without an explicit unwrap or bridge path.
Verification status is separate from privacy status
Verification status is determined by the exact provider route, asset representations, amount, region, and current risk policy. Private, no-account, non-custodial, and no-KYC remain separate properties.
