Explicit links
A direct transfer, shared contract field, bridge message, or consolidation transaction can create a deterministic relationship. These edges are visible without guessing who owns the wallets.
Behavioral links
Repeated amounts, synchronized timing, the same gas funder, identical application patterns, and common counterparties can suggest related control. These signals require careful confidence language.
Off-chain links
A provider, exchange, wallet application, or published profile may know that addresses belong to the same user even when the public graph is indirect. Private routing does not control those datasets.
Using the concept responsibly
The goal is to understand exposure and avoid unnecessary connections, not to promise evasion or untraceability. Distinguish confirmed facts from analytic inference.
How to read the evidence
Wallet privacy is cumulative. The route, browser session, wallet connection, gas source, receiving address, exchange account, public profile, and later transfers can each add a different relationship. Review those layers separately and avoid treating one fresh address as a complete solution. The most useful objective is minimizing unnecessary links while keeping recovery, address verification, and transaction safety intact.
